Dubs FN denies Fortnite World Cup cheating allegations

first_imgDr. Lupo brought the topic up after seeing Tfue’s tweet about it. Ninja said that although nothing is official, he thought it looked like an aimbot. Ninja said it looked like there some “hardcore tracking” on Dubs FN’s gameplay during the first weekend of qualifying. Ninja also brought up JonnyK who was kicked out of Team Kaliber for installing cheats in preparation for the Fortnite World Cup. So this has happened in the past, and it’s not surprising given how much money is at stake. But as it stands, Dubs FN has not been officially found to be cheating. The only “proof” is from screenshots (which can be manipulated) that a username that looks similar to Dubs FN. Given that Epic Games provided a response to the accuser’s report, we should know in the near future whether he was cheating or not. It seems unlikely he’d remain in the World Cup if Epic Games finds evidence he was cheating. The Discord messages are more damaging, but there’s not really solid proof that the screenshots are real. It’s fairly easy to make that look like the real thing through tools on Chrome, or through Photoshop. You guys wanted proof…. pic.twitter.com/vjkojQlDqF— Aspectdolphin (@Aspectdolphin1) April 16, 2019MORE: 2019 Fortnite World Cup leaderboardDubs FN obviously caught word of these allegations and denied them on Twitter.”All I have to say is f— all the [people] that don’t believe. I’m not cheating. And I’ll see you guys at the World Cup,” he said. “I understand there’s been a lot of accusations about me cheating, but I’m not, and I’m willing to stream future solo qualifiers to show you that.”The Fortnite World Cup has $40 million worth of prizes, including $30 million in the Finals alone. It’s the largest payout in an e-sports competition ever. The majority of the accusations against Dubs FN comes from Aspectdolphin, a cheat provider. They tweeted on April 14 they were “leaking names of pro players who have bought cheats off my seller or me soon.” The next day, Aspectdolphin started to post messages allegedly from Dubs FN.Aspectdolphin also apparently contacted Epic Games with his findings and received a response (which reads like it’s automated).Update on the Report From Epic Games. pic.twitter.com/KL08VSxMZV— Aspectdolphin (@Aspectdolphin1) April 16, 2019Other Fortnite players caught wind of the allegations and started providing their own responses.Tfue joked about it, asking Dubs FN to team up with him for Duos next week.Wanna partner with me for duos next week @Dubsfn— Tfue (@TTfue) April 16, 2019Nina also reacted to the allegations during his Monday night stream. Dubs FN earned one of six qualifcations spot in the North American East region of the 2019 World Cup qualifiers, although some are alleging he earned that spot illegally.A video started spreading around claiming to have proof that Dubs FN was cheating. The video shows DMs on Discord (a messaging platform) as well as a post from a message board for hackers from a user “Ruedubs14” asking for cheats. Obviously the “dubs” in the username is a similarity, and Dubs FN plays with No. 14 on his soccer skin.last_img read more

Brilliant Clements wins English amateur

first_img He kept his lead on the 30th with a fighting par after he found a fairway bunker, played through the green, chipped back and holed the four-footer to match Gaunt.  Clements, from Braintree in Essex confessed: “For those holes I was thinking I mustn’t embarrass myself!” But instead of wilting he produced his own amazing comeback.  Click here for full scores Todd Clements played brilliant – and brave – golf to win the English Amateur Championship at The Berkshire, beating Jack Gaunt 2/1 in the 36-hole final.  It’s his first win and he said: “What a way to start! It just proves to me that I can really compete at this level. Two years ago I was just someone who turned up to enjoy a tournament, now I feel I can turn up and try to win.” This afternoon he was quickly five up and appeared to be cruising to victory, but Gaunt, from Drayton Park, Staffordshire, had other ideas.  Image copyright Leaderboard Photography 6 Aug 2017 Brilliant Clements wins English amateur It was a stunning display as he played an eight-iron to within a foot on one hole and then rammed home a series of putts.  In the space of just six holes he had pulled the match back to all square, with a par on the 22nd, three consecutive birdies from the 23rd and another birdie on the 27th.   The 20-year-old from Braintree, Essex, was thoroughly tested before he got his hands on the trophy and he had to produce remarkable golf to seal his win on The Berkshire’s spectacular Red course, with its carpets of heather and towering pines. Tags: English Amateur Championship, Todd Clements He lost the 34th where he missed the green while Gaunt putted superbly from the back of the green to set up his par three. Then, with Gaunt bunkered in two on the long 35th, a solid par was enough for the title. “It’s unbelievable,” said Clements. It started on the 28th, a challenging par three, where he fired a brave shot straight at the pin. He was rewarded with a winning birdie and returned to one up.  “There were a lot of highs and lows,” said Clements – and he meant it. This morning he dominated play over the second nine and came into lunch with a four hole lead.  Then the dramatics began. On the long 31st he chipped in for eagle three to go two up. On the 32nd he holed a 30ft birdie putt to go three up. On the 33rd, with Gaunt already conceded a birdie four, he holed another 30-footer for his own birdie and a crucial half. “It’s all a bit of a blur,” said Clements.last_img read more

first_imgSubmitted by Marv’s Marvlus Pit BBQSummer is a time for celebrations – weddings, picnics, backyard parties.  With those celebrations comes a need for delicious food to feed a crowd and Marv’s Marvlus Pit BBQ is there to help, serving up their slow cooked meats and creating happy, full party goers. With the summer catering season coming to a close, the owners of Marv’s Marvlus Pit BBQ reflect back on their very busy summer catering season.  Owner Chris Murphy recalls the feeling of six months ago, when the wedding season really kicked off.  “It felt great to get back in the swing of things with some slow and low BBQ.”  And just as quickly as summer comes, it’s gone again, a feeling most of us can relate to.  “Then, poof,” laughs Murphy, “it’s all of a sudden fall.”Marv’s had a great season attending over 77 events and serving over 12,000 delicious, catered meals.  “Eighty five percent of our business is catering weddings, while the other fifteen percent is made up of corporate events, birthdays, and charity fundraisers.”  You may have seen the Marv’s truck around town at events you attended this summer, such as Olympia Brew Fest or a benefit for Friends of Mia.“The best part of this business is making new friends,” shares Murphy.  “We love exceeding guest’s expectations and gaining a great reputation in the community.”As a result of all the hard work and passion for BBQ, Marv’s Pit BBQ Catering was nominated for King 5’s “Best of Western Washington” for 2013 under the category of Best Caterer and Best BBQ.  The crew at Marv’s is honored to have been nominated and looks forward to the opportunity to be “The Best in Western Washington”.If you have had the opportunity to attend an event where Marv’s Pit BBQ was on-site preparing freshly cooked BBQ and want to recognize them for a job well done, you can also vote for Marv’s Marvlus Pit BBQ Catering on the King 5 “Best of Western Washington” website. And even though the days are shorter and nights cooler, Marv’s is still cooking up a storm.  You might associate BBQ with lazy summer nights in the backyard or on the beach, but really, BBQ tastes good any time of year. Holy Cross Academy Debuts in Fall

first_imgRUMSON – When Holy Cross School opens its doors in September it will have a new name and a renewed focus on modern, Catholic education. By Elizabeth Wulfhorst “Enrollment is robust and sustainable for a selective Catholic grammar school,” said Manning, “and steps are being taken to position the school for measured growth in the years to come.” He said tuition will “likely increase slightly each year at a similar rate to that over the last decade,” citing “unpredictable” insurance costs as one thing challenging the budgets of many institutions. Parents were madeaware of all the changes tothe school in a letter fromthe administration, followedby an open informationalmeeting. Makin explained the importance of the foundation as a fundraising body. “The school is still a parish school and still part of the diocese of Trenton,” Makin said, but the foundation will be used to “build up a nest egg and support Catholic education in the Rumson community.” That fund would be used for long-term projects like facilities improvements and scholarships or financial aid for students. As in the past, the school’sPTA will raise supplementalfunds for specific projects orpurchases, Makin said, butthose funds must be usedwithin the school year. Thefoundation allows the schoolto focus on long-term givingand fundraising in supportof the Rumson community. Also being introduced isa new virtue-based Catholicapproach to discipline andconflict resolution. Michael Manning, pastor for Holy Cross Church. Now called Holy Cross Academy, the school has implemented an entirely new math curriculum with new textbooks for all kindergarten through eighth-grade students. A Project Lead the Way S.T.E.M. Project Lead The Way is a nonprofit organization that develops S.T.E.M. curricula for schools. “Above all we want tobe an excellent Catholicschool,” said Makin. In addition to the changes in name and curriculum, the school has established the Holy Cross Rumson Education Foundation “to support the current and future needs of Catholic education in Rumson,” according to a press release.
